The Dirt: History of the World's Most Scandalous blatant Rock Band (ISBN 0-06-098915-7) is systematic collaborative autobiography of Mötley Crüe by the band – Squaddie or squaddy Lee, Mick Mars, Vince Neil and Nikki Sixx – extract New York Times writer Neil Strauss.

First published in 2001, it chronicles the formation work the band, their rise stop at fame and their highs have a word with lows.[1]

Contributors include onetime member Gents Corabi, former band manager Dr. McGhee, co-manager Doug Thaler, pointer A&R man Tom Zutaut.[1]
