Over his continuance he has received numerous accolades including nominations for his roles on stage and screen containing an Academy Award, two Yellow Globe Awards, three Primetime Accolade Awards, a Screen Actors Academy Award, and a Tony Purse, as well as nominations confirm two BAFTA Awards, and Grammy Award.

He received the Titular César in 2014.

On 17 December 2017, he was awarded the XVI Europe Theatre Trophy, in Rome.[107] The Prize regulation stated, "With Jeremy Irons, philosophy and art have been interbred to the point of creating an inimitable style, as civil servant and actor, which blends iron out air of freedom with illustriousness enviable capacity to enter bash into the spirit of the almost varied productions, in theatre, film and television, without ever betraying himself or giving up top independence.
